The 4WSD9OTB provides RS-232 to RS-422/RS-485 full or half-duplex conversion. 2000 V Optical Isolators protect your equipment from dangerous ground loops and surges. Data is converted in both directions, RS-232 Transmit data is converted to balanced RS-422 or RS-485 Transmit, and Received RS-422/RS-485 signals are converted to RS-232. Unlike converters which require programming hardware handshaking signals to control RS-485 or RS-422 operation, the 4WSDO9TB provides automatic control. The operating mode is set with 4 switches.
Models 4WSD9OTB and 4WSD25OTB are top-of-the-line converters with
both 2000 Volts isolation. Removable terminal blocks on the RS-422/485
side make installation easy. Dip switches are used for configuration.
LEDs
indicate data traffic. Modbus compatible. Power is provided through a 10-48 VDC input on the terminal block.
Model 485OI9TB is a basic isolated converter. The RS-232 side draws
power from the RS-232 handshake lines of the connected PC. At least one
handshake line must be asserted (high) to power the converter.
If high handshake lines aren't available, model 4WSD9OTB is recommended.
The RS-422/485
side is powered by an external power supply.
Models 485DRCI and 485LDRC9 are DIN Rail mount, wide temp versions
of the 4WSD9OTB and 4WSD25OTB.
